Carolina Princess 2007 . . . Mary-Holland Wilson
Born
in 1995, Mary-Holland is a 12-year old 7th grader at
Apex Middle School in Apex, North Carolina.
Growing up in Cary, North Carolina, she has enjoyed her
years of playing CASL soccer, swim team, basketball and
participating in the Indian Princesses program with her
Dad, through which she volunteers for the Food Bank and
Salvation Army. She is a very kind-hearted person and
has won several Character Education awards for kindness.
She loves school and is on the A/B honor Roll. She also
loves many activities such as school dances, chorus and
sports. But, even at her young age, she is already an
accomplished dancer and cheerleader.
In cheer, she has been a member of two club cheer teams,
competing on a Regional and National level at Advanced
Level Three. She has two National Cheer Championship
blankets and enjoys performing her exciting stunts and
dance moves for the crowds and judges. She is member of
the Apex Middle School Cheerleaders, where she is a
Captain for indoor sports.
As a dancer, Mary-Holland is a gifted performer. She
excels at jazz, tap, and lyrical dance. She has a
prominent role in several competitive dance ensembles
and was recently selected to dance in the Cherry Blossom
Parade in Washington, DC. She loves music and dance and
plans a possible career in one or both.
She enjoys family activities with her parents and
brother, especially the many beach trips and traveling.
She recently went to New York and saw a Broadway play.
She likes attending sports such as Carolina Hurricanes
games where she has a knack for getting on the Jumbotron.
She is active at First United Methodist Church and
joined with her confirmation class in 2007. She is also
a Certified baby-sitter by the American Red Cross.
Mary-Holland feels extremely honored and proud to be
have been chosen by Chelsea Ingram, Miss Johnston County
as her Carolina Princess for the 2007 Miss North
Carolina Pageant. She also hopes to one day be a part of
the Miss America Pageant Organization as a contestant.
She feels this opportunity will prepare her for the
future as an rising start and outstanding citizen.
